The short version: Return Window Radar keeps everything on your device. We have no servers, no account system, and no analytics. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data — because it never leaves your device.
This policy explains how the Return Window Radar app ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
None. We do not operate any servers or backend, and the App contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting software. We have no way to see, receive, or collect any information about you or how you use the App.
The App is a tool for tracking your purchase return windows. The information you add — such as item names, stores, prices, purchase dates, return deadlines, refund status, reminder settings, and any receipt images you scan or attach — is stored only in the App's private storage on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
On Android, the App opts out of Google's device backup, so its data is not included in device backups. On iOS, if you have iCloud Backup enabled, your device backup may include the App's data; those backups are created and protected by your device's operating system — under Apple's privacy policy — not by us.
The App asks for the following permissions only when you use the related feature, and uses them solely on your device:
You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app. The App remains usable if you decline them.
When you scan a receipt, the App reads the text from the image using your device's built-in on-device text recognition (Apple's text recognition on iOS, Google's ML Kit on Android) to help pre-fill the purchase details. This processing happens entirely on your device; receipt images and their text are not sent to us or any third party.
The App offers an optional one-time upgrade ("Radar Pro"). The purchase is processed entirely by the store you got the App from — Apple's App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android — under that store's own terms and privacy policy. We never see, receive, or store your payment details or purchase history. The App only records that the upgrade is unlocked, as a simple flag in its private storage on your device.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone. We have no access to it.
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete an individual tracked item (and its attached receipts) within the App at any time. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all of its data, including any receipt images it stored.
Because your information never leaves your device, you remain in complete control of it at all times. You can view, edit, or delete it directly in the App, or remove all of it by uninstalling the App. We hold no copy of your data and therefore cannot access, export, or delete it on your behalf.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and it does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the "Effective date" above and publish the revised policy at the same location. Your continued use of the App after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
